2015 Earth Hour at Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha
Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha yet again participated in Earth Hour last night, 28th March 2015 at 8:30pm.
We support Earth Hour annually to fight climate change by switching off lights and electric appliances for 1 hour.
Besides Earth Hour, we also do our bit for the environment through our Green Engage campaign.
The IHG Green Engage system is our group-wide online sustainability programme. It allows hotels to track, measure and report on their carbon footprint and utility consumption as well as recommending more than 200 ‘Green Solutions’ which help deliver greater sustainability.
The IHG Green Engage system:
• Measures energy, waste and water use
• Recommends over 200 Green Solutions to reduce the impacts our energy, waste and water use have on the environment
• Supports hotels to create environmental action plans and targets
• Helps our hotels achieve energy savings of up to 25%
• Make our hotels more cost-effective and ultimately allows us to improve the value of service we offer our guests

Towel Art at Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha
Our
very talented Housekeeping team regularly create attractive creatures using
towel art to astonish our guests celebrating special occasions in our hotel.
Towel
art takes many hours to master, numerous members of our team spend their free
time off duty to practice their skills and learn new methods to “wow” our
guests.
We hold
frequent competitions within the department to motivate and recognize them for
their hard work and efforts.
