The What’s On 2014 Award Winner for favourite Thai Restaurant certainly didn’t disappoint this “Songkran” Songkran is the grandest of all Thai festivals to commemorate the New Year, a time when houses are cleaned and decorated with flowers and flags, and the famous Water Fight takes place throughout the country with splashing of water symbolizing cleansing and rejuvenation. Mirroring that celebration, The Royal Budha was in full festival mode on April 13th, offering diners an authentic taste of Songkran created by Thai master chefs who combined heat, spice, citrus, textures and a blend of flavours to surprise and delight. The staff spent many hours specially decorating the restaurant to provide guests with a true Songkran ambience, taking them on a journey back to the streets of Thailand

2015 Earth Hour at Holiday Inn Dubai - Al Barsha

Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha yet again participated in Earth Hour last night, 28th March 2015 at 8:30pm. We support Earth Hour annually to fight climate change by switching off lights and electric appliances for 1 hour. Besides Earth Hour, we also do our bit for the environment through our Green Engage campaign. The IHG Green Engage system is our group-wide online sustainability programme. It allows hotels to track, measure and report on their carbon footprint and utility consumption as well as recommending more than 200 ‘Green Solutions’ which help deliver greater sustainability. The IHG Green Engage system: • Measures energy, waste and water use • Recommends over 200 Green Solutions to reduce the impacts our energy, waste and water use have on the environment • Supports hotels to create environmental action plans and targets • Helps our hotels achieve energy savings of up to 25% • Make our hotels more cost-effective and ultimately allows us to improve the value of service we offer our guests
